Add Prefixes to Opportunity Numbers as well as Active project numbers

Currently we can set up an automated numbering system where a new Opportunity is given a Project Code with an optional prefix. Once the Opportunity moves into the Active state, it changes to a different number to tell it apart. Currently, there can be no prefix added to the Active number, please can this be instated?
